T. Swift

On Saturday morning I woke up with a hangover.
I laid in bed all day - trying to recover...
But one phonecall changed my mood entirely:
"Do you wanna come to Taylor Swift tonight!?"
Immediately I jumped in the shower
and started trying on red outfits
(as instructed by my BFF)
though I ended up settling on maroon
and rushed out the door to meet her
at her bofo's parents' house.
We hopped in the car and headed for downtown.
(The concert was at Ford Field.)
After circling for parking,
the girls escaped&photographed the tour busses
then headed inside to buy souvenirs before seating.
I was more then excited to discover that Ed Sheeran
was the opening act for Taylor.
I love love love him!
Apparently I need to listen to the radio more often,
cause lots of people love Ed.
After Ed, though, Taylor blew me away.
I felt like I was on an emotional high the entire concert
tearing up - smiling huge - singing along
...by far the best show I've ever seen...
and it was even more wonderful to enjoy with my BFF.
We squealed like 12-year-old girls at a BiebsShow
and swayed&danced to all her wonderful songs.
The show was simply amazing.
All the in-between portions were well-thought-out
and her mannerisms&personality were precious.
I definitely fell in love with T.Swift
...unexpectedly, I'll admit.
I very very very much want to see her again.
My favorite part was "All Too Well" on piano.
My heart was pounding.
My eyes were welling up.
My emotions were soaring.

Rearview Memories

I finally got all my trinkets from Betty onto the rearview of the Envoy. Some of those items were hung at 16-years-old... some came along with my time with Bunni... and some came after. I'm glad to have them all around still.

Spring Colors

These are my favorite trees in the spring time.
I can't wait to have my own house and my own yard
so I can landscape it with lots of beautiful foliage.

Breakfast Jars

I love jars for food storage.
And I love grapefruit for breakfast.
So I obviously love preparing my weeks-worth of grapefruit
and storing it in cute, little jars.

Barbie'sBigDay

Barbie&Marine got married this weekend in a beautiful&traditional Catholic ceremony near Metro Detroit. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t so wonderful – but I suppose that “rain on your wedding day” saying indicates the two of them will have a long&fruitful marriage.
That’s obvious, though, no matter the weather.
The entire day was absolutely amazing – filled with precious&adorable moments&glances between the two of them. Their love is so pure&enchanting, it can only reaffirm everyone’s faith in finding their “perfect match” someday. And, of course, their attractiveness added to the beauty of the day. Mr.Marine wore his uniform – looking incredibly handsome&mature – and Barbie’s dress was flawlessshimmering&flowing around her tiny&tan frame. Her blonde hair curled&hung over her shoulders – her makeup looked effortless&natural. Both their smiles were unstoppable&heartfelt. The reception hall was tastefully decorated in purple&silver and the family-style dinner fit the closeness of the day. The speeches had everyone in tears and the slow-dances had everyone in awe. And though I didn’t know 75% of the guests, I felt like everyone in the room genuinely loved&cared for every other attendee. The chocolate&vanilla cake options were a hit with everyone at my table – so much so that we asked for “more” and were showered with pieces by our server. The emotions were high and the tenderness was true. And by dusk, the open-bar&DJ had gotten everyone on the dance floor – jumping&singing. Our crazy sisters even lifted the bride into the air and bounced her up&down.
More than a wedding – it was an exciting reunion for sorority&fraternity sisters&brothers who have spread themselves across the country. We all stayed in the same hotel near the reception hall – enjoying each other’s company before&after… including a wild&sneaky late-night pool break-in.
I can’t wait to see pictures & finish the video I’m making for the happy couple. I don’t think anyone could have hoped for a better time.

WeekEndWalk

I walked from Royal Oak to Ferndale yesterday after work to hang out with Sydney for the night. It was a nice little 3ish mile walk - and the rain held off till the last couple minutes of it. I love love love being able to walk places. Then I did some jumping jacks in her living room while she got ready to go out. I love love love finding random ways to exercise, too.

I saw another "Betty" on my walk to work this morning!
It made me very happy.

I Don't Get It

...this is the type of sh*t I live with...
...and it drives me fu*king crazy...

Address Box

I've been working on this wedding project for Barbie for a little too long. Finally, it's finished... not perfect, but finished. She found an address box on Etsy to use as a guest book, but the price was crazy, so I told her I'd make one for her myself. It's been a fun project - maybe someday I'll get better at making them. I am really glad that I learned how to make those fabric flowers. I kinda want to make a million and embellish everything with them.
