Birthday Sperry's

Joe basically told me to pick some stuff out and simply tell him what I want for my birthday this year. So one of the items I picked were these Sperry Top Siders - well, I picked a few pairs and let him pick his favorites to surprise me with. I don't know that I'm really a "boat shoe kind of girl," but I do think they're really cute. We'll see how I do with matching them to my wardrobe.

...like the 12:00am kind of morning.

A nice gesture, though I'm allergic to most of it.

I politely picked at it.

She loved it - in all it's "light, summery" glory.

Max!

I'm so envious of Sydney's ability to adopt a dog! Joe&I have been wanting a puppy forever now, but we aren't allowed to have one in our current living situation. After work yesterday I met Syd at an Adoption Fair at the Detroit Zoo and she'd already fallen in love with this little guy: now named Max. We sat with him for a while before she decided to adopt him. Once we got him out of the zoo, we took him to pick up pet supplies and for a do-it-yourself bath. And he is such a good boy already, too! We took him out to dinner with us and he graciously sat under our patio table only stepping out to quietly allow passer-bys to pet him. He's a great, little snuggler and already house-broken.

I love him.

And I can't wait till I get my own puppy!

Another Great Night

Last night was another great night with Bunni's dad.

I headed over to his house in the late afternoon.

The weather was pretty ugly, so we watched the choppy waves

and sipped wine while watching baseball&movies.

After our usual stir-fry dinner

we snacked on brownies&icecream.

The smell of cigarettes&leather always comforts me

and his new found love for technology had me giggling

all night at all his new gadgets.

It's always nice to watch him evolve&discover.

Dye Job

I've been wanting to join the world of trendiness with this season's sleeveless button-downs and lace accents, but I hate spending money on things that aren't completely my style. I found this one at T.J. Maxx for cheap, but the pastel purple was ugly, so I dyed it "wine" when I got home.

The new color is much more "me."

Morning Frapp

I'm in love with Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccinos from Starbucks,

so obviously when I had a free drink with my rewards points,

I splurged on a light-nonfat-sugarfree venti.

T. Swift

On Saturday morning I woke up with a hangover.

I laid in bed all day - trying to recover...

But one phonecall changed my mood entirely:

"Do you wanna come to Taylor Swift tonight!?"

Immediately I jumped in the shower

and started trying on red outfits

(as instructed by my BFF)

though I ended up settling on maroon

and rushed out the door to meet her

at her bofo's parents' house.

We hopped in the car and headed for downtown.

(The concert was at Ford Field.)

After circling for parking,

the girls escaped&photographed the tour busses

then headed inside to buy souvenirs before seating.

I was more then excited to discover that Ed Sheeran

was the opening act for Taylor.

I love love love him!

Apparently I need to listen to the radio more often,

cause lots of people love Ed.

After Ed, though, Taylor blew me away.

I felt like I was on an emotional high the entire concert

tearing up - smiling huge - singing along

...by far the best show I've ever seen...

and it was even more wonderful to enjoy with my BFF.

We squealed like 12-year-old girls at a BiebsShow

and swayed&danced to all her wonderful songs.

The show was simply amazing.

All the in-between portions were well-thought-out

and her mannerisms&personality were precious.

I definitely fell in love with T.Swift

...unexpectedly, I'll admit.

I very very very much want to see her again.

My favorite part was "All Too Well" on piano.

My heart was pounding.

My eyes were welling up.

My emotions were soaring.

Rearview Memories

I finally got all my trinkets from Betty onto the rearview of the Envoy. Some of those items were hung at 16-years-old... some came along with my time with Bunni... and some came after. I'm glad to have them all around still.
